DANCE ART Camps

We are excited to announce our DANCE ART Camps. Campers can expect lots of opportunity to create art and dance, along with classes in ballet, contemporary and jazz. During the week, time will be reserved for excursions to parks for outside play, games and crafting activities as well as a visit to the Saint John Arts Centre.

Sample Day at Camp

8:30 - 9:00 - Arrival

9:00 - 10 - Dance Creation or Dance Games

10 - 10:30 - Snack and Outside Play

10:30 - 12:00 - Art with Maggie

12:00 - 1:00 - Lunch and Excursion

1:00 - 2:00 - Ballet

2:00 - 3:00 - Contemporary or Jazz

3:00 - 3:30 - Snack and Games

3:30 - 4:15 - Crafts

4:00 - 4:30 - Pick - Up

Maggie Higgins

Maggie is a professional visual artist and educator with a BFA from Mount Allison University (2014) and a BEd from the University of New Brunswick (2016). She has worked as Education Coordinator with the Saint John Arts Centre and as the Drawing and Art History Instructor with the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. Maggie has been honored with such recognitions as the Fred Ross Scholarship, A Faces of Fusion Arts and Culture Award Nomination, Satin John Professional Visual Artist Fund Award, and The Originals Emerging Artist Award. Her work has been exhibited nationally in both group and solo shows. Maggie's work is currently represented in Saint John by Spicer Merrifield Gallery.
